EHS Bagel Cart
On August 28th, the EHS Bagel Cart was officially open and serving local bagels that are baked fresh daily! Located in the guidance lobby we are open from 7:30-9:45 AM serving not only bagels but also Speeder and Earl's coffee and a variety of new juices. There are currently fresh Asiago, Plain and Everything bagels as well as Plain, Veggie and Bacon Scallion cream cheeses.
We heard from a handful of students that they were looking for a higher quality bagel and we wanted to be able to provide that for them while serving in a new and appealing way. Serving in the guidance lobby has allowed CNP to expand our reach and serve more students and staff than ever before.
Students at Summit try new garden fresh recipe!
The students used this recipe to compare their garden's fresh and luscious tomatoes to ones that are typically found the in grocery store.

OVER 30,000 MEALS SERVED IN 2 MONTHS
The EWSD free summer meals program finished on August 23rd with over 30,000 meals served to children 18 years old and younger. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and is overseen by the VT Agency of Education. This 23% increase in summer meals served from last year is because of a wonderful partnership between EWSD, Essex Junction Parks and Rec and Hunger Free Vermont.
