Relationship Driven: #purposefulkindness
If we can create a community where no one is left behind and seen as an outcast, then we can focus on helping one another and building up each other’s strengths, allowing our world to be better for EVERYONE. Imagine the things our community can accomplish when everyone comes together and works towards a common goal.
~Klein Cain Culture4Caring Student Director Brayden Espinosa (You can read the whole awesome post here.)
PASS IT ON- honor your students and colleagues with a note. #purposefulkindness note cards can be found in any of the grade level offices, the front office, and in the teacher's lounge.
Results Focused: PRIDE
Click HERE for the PRIDE site on the Doerre Dashboard for all things Pride (calendars, resources, lesson plans, etc)
A Pride activity for today has been posted on the Doerre Dashboard.
- The PLC’s will decide who they need for intervention and/or enrichment for PRIDE.
- Each teacher will claim students on the PRIDE lists.
- The priority calendar will work like this: 3 weeks math, 3 weeks ELA, 1 week science or S.S. or Electives.
- In October, teachers will fill in their offering choice by Monday (study hall will be offered through athletics, so we do not need any more options for study hall)
- Students still need to pick their Friday choice during Pride on Wednesdays.
- Students will be sent an email on Friday with their PRIDE schedule for the following week. Please still communicate with your students about where they are going.

Cha, Cha, Cha CHANGES- INNOVATION
I hope you can join us for the upcoming Teacher Leader Development Summit on October 27 where participants will learn how our profile of a leader comes to life in various roles. These sessions give the opportunity to build relationships and deepen our knowledge by focusing on problem solving, addressing our biases, improving communication, and personalizing our own leadership paths. Read more about the summit and registration here.
We’re also excited to welcome over 200 teams of nearly 1000 students for the Klein In Space Day of Design on Monday, October 22! Students will be collaborating with their peers and industry experts as they finalize their experiment proposals. One of these amazing experiments will be chosen to be taken aboard the International Space Station and performed by astronauts!
As we complete the first nine weeks of school (and thanks to our teachers and support staff for all of the hard work that always goes into finalizing grades and communicating with our students and their families!), let’s continue to celebrate each other throughout the month as we conquer the Fall Wall with kindness. Take a few minutes and use this link to send a uplifting message to someone in our Klein ISD Family today.
In The Exchange this week…
- Growing and Changing as a Forever Learner--Vistas Instructional Media Specialist Kathleen Middleton explains how the book, Superbosses, and our Profile of a Leader guiding document can be seen in action in our campus libraries
- Culture4Caring: Be The Change--Klein Collins student Teslyn De Leon shares how Culture4Caring strives to give every student a voice and spread kindness across the district

- District Offers Graduation Pathway with High Job Placement Opportunities--Learn more about the newest opportunity available to our students now and after graduation in our new, innovative CTE geospatial engineering & land surveying pathway
As Teslyn reminded us in her post this week, we have to be the change we want to see in the world. Thank you for everything you do for our students, our Klein ISD Family, and our community to make the world a better, kinder, and more caring place.
