HES Happenings
Where our Monomoy students are 'fin'tastic!
Happy Mother's Day Weekend!
And now there are SIX Team Sharks in the 'SHARK TANK'!
"Music Counts Every Day" at HES - Each morning as we get the day started next week at HES we will be listening to “Hedwig’s Theme” composed by John Williams.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was the first in the series of seven fantasy novels that tell of the adventures of famed boy wizard, Harry Potter. Released in 1997, the novel soon became one of the most popular books ever, making Harry Potter the best-selling book series in history.
The Harry Potter films have continued the success earning over $7.7 billion at the box office. John Williams scored three films in the series starting with the first, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. One of the themes or tunes Williams composed for the film is “Hedwig’s Theme”.
The concert version of Hedwig’s Theme is really made up of 2 pieces of music: Hedwig’s Theme and the Flying Theme (or “Nimbus 2000”, the name of Harry’s broomstick).
The question this week is:
Who wrote the Harry Potter books?
The answer to last week’s question is:
Vienna is the capital city of Austria.
