U.S. Representative Chrissy Houlahan visits CASH
This past week, Representative Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA) visited Coatesville Area Senior High School to meet with students on the Raiderbots and Raiderbots Squared robotics teams and students participating in the SIFMA Foundation's Capitol Hill Challenge, which focuses on personal finance and economics.
Houlahan spent time learning more about the robotics teams, driving the robots, and presented both teams with a special Congressional recognition for their work competing at the state championships. Afterward, Houlahan met with SIFMA Foundation's Capitol Hill Challenge participants. This nationwide economic and financial knowledge competition selects a different school each year from each Congressional district. Houlahan had the opportunity to share a bit about her own entrepreneurial background leading several southeastern Pennsylvania companies, her work in fiscal policymaking, and answered students' questions. SAFETY REMINDERS for Students
As we move into the 4th marking period and in addition to discussing the academic performance reminders above, please also take a few minutes to remind your child of the following safety reminders.
BUILDING SAFETY
Students SHOULD NOT open any exterior doors for others students (known or unknown) as well as adults. Anyone arriving to school after the cafeteria side doors close in AM must use the main entrance of the building. Seniors who arrive to school for Senior Privlege must park in the student lot and walk around to the main entrance. Seniors with early release will be monitored upon exiting the building and should use door #20 to exit the building and not allow anyone into the building while exiting.
SEARCHES
Parents/Guardians - please discuss the importance of students knowing what is in their possession at ALL TIMES (this includes in vehicles for student drivers). Students were informed prior to break that CASH will be holding additional searches after spring break similar to the one held in December with drug sniffing dogs. All searches will be in accordance with our CASD Board Policy 226 - Searches and will be held to protect and preserve the health, safety and welfare of the School population. Please take the time to periodically check your child's belongings and vehicle as well in an effort to ensure the safety of students is a priority at home, school and our community.
Junior Prom - IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!
The Junior Class Cabinet has been working hard to plan the annual Junior Prom. The Dance will take place on Saturday April 27th in the CASH cafeteria. The cost of tickets will be $75.00 per person and will be available for purchase on the Hometown App, beginning April 8th. Ticket sales will continue until Friday, April 19th.
The ticket price includes a full buffet dinner and dessert, unlimited access to the London Photo booth, dancing, and any fees imposed by Hometown.

You also should have no outstanding discipline issues.
***Any Junior who would like to bring a guest from another school should complete a Family ID registration for themselves and for their guest. They must also complete a hard copy of the guest form. These forms must be filled out and your guest approved by CASH administration before you can purchase a ticket for your out-of-district guest. Forms are available in the CASH Main Office and are due back by Friday April 12th. Once your form has been approved you will receive a passcode that will enable you to purchase your date’s dance ticket during the lunches the week of April 15th.
