Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS)
Jan 19-20, 2017

FCCS is a two-day comprehensive course addressing fundamental management principles for the first 24 hours of critical care. The purpose of the course is to assist the non-intensivist in dealing with sudden deterioration of the critically ill patient; to prepare house staff for ICU coverage; and to prepare nurses and other critical care practitioners to deal with acute deterioration in the critically ill patient.
Cost: UH Residents & Faculty Physicians $195; Physicians $750; Allied Health $550
FunSim (Fundamental Simulation Instructional Methods)
Feb 13-14, 2017
9 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™
FunSim is a fast paced introductory level 1½ -day course providing a didactic and simulation-based introduction to principles of simulation-based healthcare education for healthcare professionals.
The course is designed to provide healthcare educators a hands-on experience through participatory prototype educational sessions. Participants experience simulation sessions as participants, observers, and evaluators.
Cost: $300 per participant

This open house is designed to enhance learning and conversation regarding the main topic areas for simulation based instruction. All instructors, faculty and course directors, as well as those interested in becoming an instructor are invited.
There will typically be a 30 minute presentation or simulation activity highlighting simulation, recent research, and updates.
Lunch will be provided.
