Apple Teacher PD Ideas by TobyTech
- Prepare a week before a PD to have each Apple Teacher™ share one WOW or AHA moment they had when going through their badges. How will they use this new learning in the classroom? What is the iBook and page number of the new learning to share with all? You can video the presentations as an option.
- Refer to the first Apple Teacher™ iBook. Open MAPS. Have teachers follow you with a short modeling of what you can do with MAPS. Find the school address. Find your home. Look it up on satellite. What city or country are you studying in your classroom. Write a short lesson and incorporate a MAPS activity.
- Use the video from today's PD and tailor to your audience. Divide teachers into small groups and brainstorm strategies using tech with real life scenarios. How can using visual and data driven media increase student engagement?
- Open Pages. Give each teacher or group of teachers a section to explore. Then they will teach the others;
- Create documents
- Formal – text and shapes
- Added charts and graphs
- Added shapes
- Text editing
- Adding media – add photos and video
- Tools (wrench) tricks to do
- Share sheet
