MPE Weekly Roar
November 12, 2021
A Message From Principal Dolan
Good afternoon MPE Families,
Mighty Leaders are We!!!
We had a fun, busy week at MPE! During our morning announcements we practiced positive affirmations, mentioned ways to be inclusive and remembered our Veterans. We also sent cards to thank our Veterans. Teachers are teaching the rigorous standards and students are progressing. We are so proud of them.
During our Pep Rally, we learned that connecting student learning in the classroom to real-world experiences in our community helps us spread kindness and become better MIGHTY leaders. As a school, we read a book Be Kind by Pat Zietlow Miller, met our student council and the MPE Mascot came to visit. We learned ways to stay healthy such as drinking a lot of water, going outside whenever possible and talking with trusted friends and adults when needed.
Thank you for sending in PJs for our Pajama program!! We are collecting NEW pajamas until November 19th. We rescheduled our cyber-bullying grade 4 and 5 meeting with the LPD to November 30th.
Enjoy the weekend, stay safe and don't forget to READ every day!
MPE is participating in the Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive- November 9th - 19th
What is the Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive?
The pajama drive is a philanthropic classroom program offered through Scholastic Book Clubs that aims to teach kids the value of giving and the power of reading. The annual Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive is the largest pajama drive in Pajama Program’s history.
For every pair of new pajamas donated, Scholastic Book Clubs will donate a brand-new book to the Pajama Program to give to a child facing adversity. We will collect new children's pajamas from November 9th - 19th.
Be on the look out for more information to be sent home with your child next week.
