Mission Maximize!
LVJHS Weekly Bulletin 1/29/2016
Dear LVJHS Family,
This has been an incredible week! Our campus administrative team attended training for the new teacher evaluation system that will be used next year. This new system will utilize teacher goal setting and much more coaching than our current evaluation process. Eleanor Roosevelt once stated: "With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts." It is important that all of us continue to grow and refine our focus and skill sets as educators so we can make the biggest possible impact on student learning and achievement. Our new evaluation system gives us new opportunities in this area.
Thank you to ALL of the LVJHS Staff for making sure last week went well, and a special thank you to Mrs. Spencer and Mrs. Hanselka for helping to "hold down the fort" in the absence of our administrative team.
Thank you all for making LVJHS a great place for students!

Fundamental Five Focus...
The idea of using small, group, purposeful talk is rooted in the earliest of educational traditions dating back to the Socratic Method. Allowing students to use the academic vocabulary within small group discussions with their peers about academic topics is essential to getting the deep comprehension that we as educators strive to reach. Only through these academic conversations can students begin to reach other the upper levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy consistently.
