District 15 welcomes 60 new teachers!
Please join us in welcoming 60 new teachers to District 15!
The group began a comprehensive new teacher orientation event July 31. During this week-long event, new teachers learn about curriculum, teaching strategies, technology and more. The teachers are also paired with a mentor.
These new educators join a district staff with history of excellence. Sixty-seven percent of our teachers have a master's degree or higher, and more than 115 have earned the prestigious National Board Certification for Professional Teaching Standards.
We welcome this new group of educators to District 15!
Campus Parent update for families
Changing to a new student information system can have its challenges, and we have experienced a minor issue that we want parents to be aware of.
Maintenance conducted on the Infinite Campus system on Friday, July 26 resulted in a new URL to access the site. This new URL was also shared with you in a district-wide email and text on Saturday, July 27 regarding bus route information.
We are working through updating all of the links on our website to reflect the new URL. Please bookmark the new URL, https://ic.ccsd15.net/campus/portal/parents/palatine.jsp, to get into Campus Parent. This is where you will find bus route information and also student teacher assignment information (Aug. 6). It is also where you will get your child's grades and other information from the school and district.
You will not be able to log into Campus Parent until you complete online registration. Visit www.ccsd15.net/registration for more instructions on that process if you have not yet completed it.
As a result of the Infinite Campus maintenance, our fee payment system is currently down. We will notify parents when the system is back up and running. If you'd like to make a fee payment in the meantime, please bring a check to your child's school. We know this has been frustrating for many of you — so please accept our apology for the inconvenience!
Thanks for your patience as we work through this major transition!
Important back-to-school information available on school websites
All parents should have received an email and text message from their building principal on July 23 with important information regarding the start of the school year.
All of this information is included on new back-to-school pages located on each school's website under the "About Us" or "Our School" sections.
Please read your school's back-to-school information page carefully. It includes important information on teacher assignment, school bus transportation, school hours, student attendance, PTA information and more. This website content replaces the paper packets once mailed to families each summer.
