Middle School Moments
November 19, 2018
From the Desk of Mrs. McCoy, Middle School Principal
What a great time we had with your children! Although we see them daily in our lunchroom, it was fun to see them in a different setting. God was so good to provide a beautiful day for fun and fellowship. We do this event and spend time with our 5th graders before the first semester ends so they can begin to feel comfortable with us. We want them to look forward to coming ‘up stairs’ to middle school and having new experiences. Over the years I began to realize that so many stories of what goes on in middle school were not accurate OR got so big as they were told, that our students did not have a clear picture of what awaits them.
Last Friday they were able to experience:
A few hours with teachers who enjoy teaching and who choose middle school.
What it is like to have fun with those teachers.
What it feels like to sit in seats in our classrooms.
Some time asking questions and enjoying the answers.
A time of problem-solving and putting a puzzle together to reveal a beautiful picture.
We are praying for you as you enjoy your last season of elementary school. We are looking forward to having you support and enjoy our middle school. God has his hand on SBA and the middle school is no exception.
Many blessings and we will see you in August!
