Learning today....Leading tomorrow
Our Vision is for our students to use the city itself as a classroom to engage with real world projects and develop a multidisciplinary understanding of the city while developing their academic and social emotional skills to be prepared for post secondary success.
Our Mission is to prepare and create opportunities for students to become the next generation of citizens, design professionals, and civic leaders equipped with an appreciation and holistic understanding of the urban environment, and the knowledge and skills to design, build, and participate in the future development of the city.

From your Principal
Parents and Community Members,
"As their coach, your job is to set the bar high, inspire them to reach this bar, encourage them, and most of all, guide them in the best possible manner and in the most supportive environment."
~ John Popovich
We at CityLab thank our parents and community for your support as we continue to build out CityLab High School. We had a wonderful college fair on Monday night and a great turn out for our PTO. Thank you to our fabulous PTO leadership and the leadership of our CityLab Foundation Board for all of the efforts in having a smooth transition into the new school year. Both organizations have solid plans to support CityLab High school.
This week your student should have received a progress report. You can monitor your student's grade online as well through Powerschool. Please call the office 972-749-2700 if you need assistance. Many of your students know how to monitor their grades through the Powershool phone app.
Next week our 9th graders will be taking their first field trip. It is a special day called PARKing Day. Different organizations use the parking spaces on a city street to showcase their organization. Your 9th graders will go in shifts throughout the day. Parents will get a field trip permission form with exact times. The 9th graders with Mr. Goldstein are designing their showcase. The purpose of PARKing day is to show people that city streets can be used for other things than cars with the proper urban planning.
It is such an honor to be your principal and participate in these events which help our students shape their future and the city as well.
Stay Strong, stay strong there is something inside all of you so strong!
As always my door is open to questions, concerns, and feedback!
