Cup of Many Colors
I created this project because I wanted to make my own cup that I could drink out of and have it represent me in a way. I didn't have many problems creating this piece. The only problem I really had was trying to get the handle on the cup. I had to slip and score some extra clay to get it to stay on. There really isn't much I would change about this project, I like it just the way it is.
Glaze Boat
I did this boat because I've always wanted to make a boat sculpture. I had many problems creating the boat. For example trying to get the sail to stay on the piece and not fall over was very difficult. Eventually I let the sail and stand get bone dry that way they would stay up. If there was one thing I could change about this project it would probably be to smooth it out more. The edges and lines are a little jagged and not as smooth as I would have liked.

I see that the piece is mainly brown. It's basically one piece that bells out into more of a bowl shape. the elements and principles that really dominate are color, space, and shape. Its mostly brown but there is some black and grey as well. The artwork is mostly positive space. Its shape is very abstract and different. I think that artwork communicates mixed emotions in how life is so complicated.

I see three people trapped by a snake in this sculpture. The snake is biting the man in the middle. It also looks a little old because there's cracks and missing limbs. The elements and principles that are most dominate are shape, balance, and space. the men in the sculpture entangled in the snake creates shape and balance. There is a mix of positive and negative space in the sculpture. To me the artwork is trying to tell a story about three men who got trapped by a snake.
