Happy Spring! The sun is out and the snow has melted. We are excited for all of the upcoming events and activities that spring brings. You also may have noticed that demolition of the old PK is underway. Once again, many mixed feelings have emerged during this time as the building is reduced to rubble. However, the collapsed walls have allowed for the sunshine to begin peeking through the previously hidden windows and doors of our incredible school.
Thank you to all parents who attended our Parent Spring Conference this past week. It was a fantastic evening of connection and conversation. We hope to see more parents at our conference in the fall.
Taste of Kane was back after a COVID hiatus! What a success! Our students and staff raised $2074.70 for the St. Albert Food Bank. It was a fantastic event filled with delicious food and entertainment. We can’t wait for next year!
50 of our students wrote the DELF (Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française) on April 24th. These students prepared for this exam for the last 6-12 years, and participated in prep sessions over 4 weeks in March and April. Congratulations to all of our students who committed to this challenge. Felicitations!
Also thank you to all PK families and neighbours who graciously donated to our grad garage sale which is happening this weekend. Please stop by today, Friday, April 28th from 3:30 - 6:30 and Saturday, April 29th from 9:00 - 4:00 here at Paul Kane. Note, this event is CASH only. All proceeds go towards our PK Grad 2023.
May is a busy month. We are recognizing mental health next week with activities and events each day. We are also hosting an anti-racism assembly, AP exams, a social media presentation, Grad banquet ticket sales, athletic awards, our district art show, May Dayz, and will be wrapping up with our musical production of Willy Wonka at the end of the month! Please read more specific details of these events below.
