NEWS, RESOURCES AND LEARNING FOR PANTHER STAFF, 4/8/19
Announcements for the Week of April 8, 2019
APPRECIATION WEEKS COMING UP :
This week is the week to let your Principal and Assistant Principal (us) know how much you appreciate everything we do to bother you... oops, help you out! We heard that Mr. Lamanna is going to get us Panera gift cards if he doesn't give them all to Stephanie Coleman- but that's rumor. Additional Appreciation Weeks are coming up soon and include: April 14-17 Media Specialists' and Social Worker's week, April 22-26 Administrative Assistants' week, April 29-May 3 Cafeteria Staff week, and May 6-10 Teachers' Appreciation week.
PANORAMA EDUCATION FAMILY SURVEY LAUNCHED:
Please encourage your families to complete the Panorama Education Survey launched this week. Each family receives a personal email with a link. It is important that we have many surveys completed.
STAFF MEETING:
- 7:45 Thursday, April 11
STAFF APPRECIATION BREAKFAST sponsored by 1st Grade Parents is this Friday, April 12 from 7:45-8:45.
FIELD TRIP LUNCH REQUESTS:
The lunch staff would like to remind all teachers that they need the list of school lunches FOUR WEEKS prior to the field trip. This is so that they have enough time to order the proper food/supplies for bagged lunches.
END OF YEAR PDP and SUMMATIVE EVALUATION/CONFERENCE INFORMATION -
At the end of the year, YOU are evaluated in two ways:
1) Your End of Year PDP in NCEES.
2) Your End of Year Summative Evaluation (a culmination of all of your observations which includes standards I-V.) We use The Summative Data Artifact Sheet Standards I-V to document your evidence for this Evaluation.
Both End of Year documents should be YOUR OWN WORK since it is YOUR evaluation and not a team evaluation. This means, you should not cut and paste other people's information even if you did so earlier this year because you did similar things to your colleagues. County Personnel look at your End of Year documents to make decisions about hiring and such, so this should be your own work in your own words.
- End of Year PDPs are due in NCEES on or before Monday, April 8, 2019 for Beginning teachers, and Monday, April 22, 2019 for all other teachers. To complete this, reference your mid-year PDP goals and enter comments about what you did/didn't do to meet those goals. Be sure to reference any Global courses that you completed. Be sure to mark your work "complete" and that you have a "green check" when you are finished.
- The Summative Data Artifact Sheet Standards I-V is also due on or before Monday, April 8, 2019 for Beginning teachers, and Monday, April 22, 2019 for all other teachers. Please email your Summative Data Artifact Sheet to Lara at (lfricke@wcpss.net.) You can find this document at the link below the PUE Master Folder. If you have trouble accessing it or need help, please let me know. The document is editable- which means someone can alter it by accident. So, please COPY it before you enter text. IF YOU HAVE A GOOGLE LINK TO YOUR WORK that you would like to include on the document, please put the link on the top of the document. Sharing a google file is a great way to include pictures and large data files. If you do so, remember that pictures without comments or information about how the activity relates to the standards is not clear evidence. Go to SUMMATIVE ARTIFACT INFO LINK to turn your end of year artifacts for Standards 1-5.
