EBSCO is a company that provides access to lots of books, journal articles and periodicals. The eBook portal has over 200,000 books in it. If you do not have enough book sources for your history internal, this database is a MUST! To get to JUST the academic eBook collection, click here.

JSTOR
JSTOR is our most popular database for History Internals. In JSTOR, you can typically find research journal articles. A great source...but also remember that you need a variety of sources. Remember to link it to your Google account so that you can easily access your saved searches from home and anywhere else. JSTOR is linked to NoodleTools for easy citation exports.
Gale Academic OneFile
Gale has a similar product to JSTOR called Academic OneFile. This database has access to research journals that JSTOR does not. Gale, JSTOR and EBSCO are all different companies and provide licensed access to different books and journal articles. It makes for better research to try different publishers. 📰 The Times Digital Archive 📰
The Times Digital Archive is a British newspaper that can provide a perspective on just about any major world event. Search for a key word and limit the dates to the actual date/s of when that event occurred. It makes for a great primary source. Password from home = academy

You need to be logged into your NYT student account. Go to the New York TimesMachine here. These results will be from a US perspective.
Searching Best Practices
For best results, we recommend following these tips:
- Select the magnifying glass icon in the top right corner to start your search. Use any name, topic, or keyword to get started.
- Specify the date range by selecting Change Dates below the search bar.
- Sort results by Relevance in the top right corner (after you have completed your search).
Using the Index
When you select a specific article or are viewing the overview of a newspaper issue, an Index will appear with the Subjects (index terms), details of the article selected, and your sharing options.
