No breakfast service in Coristine Hall on May 26 and June 1: The last day of breakfast services will be June 9.

Volunteer Appreciation Tea & Coffee: All Selwyn House parent volunteers are asked to join us on Tuesday, June 6 at 8 - 9:15 AM for a special celebration. Whether you volunteered an hour or 100 hours of your time, we are gathering under the tent in the Guzzo yard to thank you. Investment Club Guest Speaker - David Lisbona: The Selwyn Investment Club hosted guest speaker David Lisbona from RBC Capital Management on May 8 during one of the regular lunchtime club meetings. His presentation to students was on how best to invest in difficult economic times. Read more.
Grade 10 Exceptional Leadership: On May 19, all our Elementary School students were out at the Westmount Athletic Grounds for Track & Field day! Our Grade 10 students took the lead in organizing and facilitating these engaging activities. They demonstrated exceptional leadership skills while providing guidance and support to our younger boys. Selected for the Team Québec Football MU16 roster: Congratulations to student-athlete Jake Bélanger Holman (Grade 9) for being chosen as receiver on the Team Québec Football MU16 roster!
YPI Students Win $5000 for Local Charity: Grade 10 students Philip Baltuch, Tony Liu, and William Birks won $5,000 for their chosen charity, Treiser Maison Shalom, in the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) competition finals held at Selwyn House on May 24. Read more.
Drive Thru Gryphon Sale Donations: Do you have a bag of donations you have been meaning to drop off but keep forgetting to? For the next two Wednesdays (May 31 and June 7) from 7:00 - 8:30 AM, Gryphon Sale volunteers will be in front of the school to gather gently-used uniform items you may have. No need to get out of the car, just give the items to the volunteers as you drop off your son. Thank you again for your generosity!

Looking for ways to maximize your summer break and advance your post-secondary preparation? Join me on Zoom for an overview of what can be done over the summer to research academic programs, build a resume/activity list, and connect with different institutions. The session is open to parents, guardians and students (and since it is exam time, parents: you are more than welcome to attend and then pass along the information).
INDIVIDUAL MEETINGS
Meet with your advisor to discuss your academic progress and preparation for post-secondary studies! You can go ahead and book a meeting here if you like and select a date/time that works best for you. If you would like to schedule a meeting at a different time, arrange a phone call or book a virtual session, Email Ms. Peterman with your preferred date/time.

Contactivity - End-of-Year Celebration: To celebrate another successful year of programming, we will be hosting our annual Contactivity tea. On June 5 at 3:00 PM, members from the Contactivity Centre and Selwyn House students who participated in programming this year are invited to join us under the tent in the Guzzo yard to celebrate our amazing partnership. Contactivity - Pickleball this Summer: The Contactivity Centre is looking for 2 Selwyn House students to help them run Pickleball for seniors this summer! Pickleball will take place at Selwyn House on Tuesdays from 1:30 - 3:00 PM, July 4 - August 15. This is a great opportunity to volunteer, connect with seniors, and have fun playing Pickleball! If you are interested, please email Ms. Schwartz.
Leadership Development Opportunity: Canadian Student Leadership Conference (CSLC) Are you looking for an opportunity to expand your leadership skills or meet other student leaders from across Canada? Then this might be the opportunity for you! Current Grade 9 and 10 students are invited to apply to attend the Canadian Student Leadership Conference (CSLC), which will take place October 10 -14 in Saint John, New Brunswick. If you are interested, please read this INFORMATION LETTER and complete the application form by June 5 at 3:00 PM.
