ALUMNI ASSOCIATION MATTERS
Celebrating 50 Years!
George Walton Academy is excited to announce a weekend of alumni homecoming events as we celebrate GWA’s 50th anniversary! We will host a pregame tailgate on campus Friday, September 27, followed by an evening event with a live band, food and drinks at the Wayfarer Music Hall in downtown Monroe on Saturday, September 28. More details to come.

When you become a GWA Bulldog corporate sponsor- the opportunity to display your company name during Homecoming Weekend 2019 becomes our mission! We are seeking partners to sponsor our alumni events. 50th Anniversary Host Sponsor (limited to two): $1,000
Includes premier logo placement on all homecoming promos, signage at alumni and friends tailgate on Friday, Sept. 27 and signage at alumni social on Saturday, Sept. 28, loudspeaker announcements at homecoming game, logo on alumni weekend swag bag and t-shirt, four tickets to each event, plus recognition at Alumni Christmas Jingle Mingle, and a 50th anniversary car tag.
50th Anniversary Patron Sponsor (limited to four): $500

Osei Hurdles to National Title
Dilys Osei ('15) captured the NCAA Division III 400m Hurdles National Title and became the third-ever outdoor national champion in Emory University women's track and field history. Osei's event winning time of 58.98 was the second fastest winning time ever and is the third fastest time recorded in Division III history. She captured the first outdoor national championship for the Eagles since 2002 and just the second track national title in program history. Congratulations, Dilys!

ALUMNI ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Katie Vosburgh ('03) was married on December 15, 2018 to Steven Johnson. Katie was also named the 2019 Teacher of the Year at Mason Elementary, in Duluth, Georgia where she teaches second grade.
Daniel Hodges ('11) recently graduated from Augusta University (formerly Medical College of Georgia) with his Doctorate of Dental Medicine along side with his sister, Haley Hodges Reynolds ('09) who graduated with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice- Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
