Winter Holiday Parties
Teachers will be holding winter holiday parties in their classrooms on the dates listed below. Thank you to Mrs. Lisa and the PTO for providing a craft for our students! Unless you hear otherwise from your child's teacher, please send in a snack (1 salty 1 sweet permitted) for your child on the date of his/her party. We also encourage students to wear their favorite holiday attire on the days of their party.

Report Cards
Absent Note Change
The WCASD will start accepting parent notes via email for students who are absent from school and an original signature is not required. The email address must be registered in Power School and will be verified by the attendance secretary when the note is received. The email needs to be sent to Elizabeth Johannesen, our attendance secretary, at ejohannesen@wcasd.net (not through Schoology or Seesaw). Please include details of when your child will be absent from school (either partially or the entire day). For early dismissals or late arrivals please be sure to list the exact times.
Parents can still choose to submit notes in paper form within five school days of the absence. Phone calls will not be accepted as documentation of a student’s absence. This goes into effect for absences starting on December 14, 2020 and will remain in place until otherwise notified.
WTE Giving Tree
Thank you to the many families who have contributed gift cards for WTE families in need this holiday season! We have extended the deadline to contribute to Thursday, December 17th. We encourage families to purchase gift cards in increments of $25 to stores that offer food and toys such as Target, Walmart, Giant and Amazon. Please do not purchase electronic gift cards. Should you choose to donate, please deliver or send in your gift to the main office by December 17th.
