PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Hello Lexington Students and Families,
Last full week before the end of the school year. Here’s what’s happening for this week:
Tuesday – Choir and Guitar Spring show in the gym
Wednesday – Band Concert on the Green
Thursday – Lion Awards in the gym
Yearbooks will be distributed on Monday, May 20. Please make sure you contact the main office if you have any questions regarding these or other events that are happening on campus. May is Mental Health Awareness month. Last week we hosted a variety of activities to help support students and bring awareness on mental health concerns. As we finish out the year, please continue to have conversations with your student about appropriate behaviors toward one another and to treat one another as they would like to be treated. Let’s end the year strong with Lion Pride!!!
Have a great week!!

Yearbook Updates
Yearbook Distribution:
Pre-ordered yearbooks will be distributed in the MPR at 7 a.m on Monday, May 20th. Students should walk in through the parking lot side door of the MPR and must bring their student I.D. They must also have taken care of all library fees, and they must have returned all textbooks, band instruments, and uniforms. If a student does not have an ID they may purchase one in the library before or after school for $5.
Yearbook Purchases:
There is still a chance to purchase a yearbook. Purchases can be made online on the student webstore between Tuesday the 21st and Wednesday the 22nd. Supplies are limited. Once the book is purchased, students can pick up their book in the MPR & must show the receipt.
Yearbooks can no longer be purchased after Wednesday the 22nd.
Lexington Promotion Celebration
Support ASB and pre-order your promotion celebration items! A percentage of all sales will go back to ASB. Please note that Lexington does not host a graduation ceremony, but will have an 8th Grade Promotion Celebration on Thursday, May 23rd. This celebration is for students only during the school day and consists of food, music, and games for our 8th graders. May 23rd is the last day of school and a minimum day with a 12:20 pm dismissal time. The campus will be available after school that day for parents to take pictures at various photo stations. The Commencement Group will also be at Lexington on this day for families to purchase flowers, bears, and other items. You may also place a pre-order and your items will be available for pickup at Lexington on the last day of school.
Aeries Data Confirmation
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, it's time to complete an important annual step -
Data Confirmation in Aeries.
All continuing families need to log in and confirm your student's registration details for next year.
This allows us to have accurate information on file.
Follow these steps to complete Data Confirmation.
Click 'Confirm and Continue' after each step to save your progress.
Once all 8 steps are complete, you'll receive a confirmation email from AUConnect@auhsd.us - this serves as your Data Confirmation receipt for next year.
Thank you for your partnership in ensuring an seamless registration process!
Summer Registration
In preparation for next year, it is necessary for students/parents to complete three phases of enrollment.
The first phase was Course Selection which was completed in February with our school counselor.
The second phase, Online Data Confirmation on Aeries, will open up this week! This step is a mandatory process and will secure your enrollment at your school in AUHSD. An email will be sent out by the district later this week.
The third phase, Summer Registration, will be held on Wednesday, July 24th for 8th graders and Friday, July 26th for 7th graders. A registration packet will be mailed to you in early July with more information regarding in-person registration. If you have recently moved and have not updated your address, please contact us to do that immediately.
Dress Code Reminder
As we approach the end of the school year, we would like to remind you of our school's dress code policy and cell phone regulations. Recently, we have noticed an uptick in dress code violations among our students, and we kindly ask for your cooperation in ensuring that your child adheres to these guidelines at all times.
Dress Code and Cell Phone Policy:
- No cell phones are permitted during school hours.
- No Crocs, slippers, sandals, or flip-flops are allowed.
- The midsection must be covered at all times.
- Rips on jeans must be below hand-length, and kept to a minimum.
- Undergarments should never be visible.
- All tops must have a sleeve that covers the shoulder completely.
- No straps or cleavage can be exposed.
- Strapless or low-cut tops are not permitted.
Your support in reinforcing these policies with your child is greatly appreciated.
