60 Seconds With The Superintendent
It’s been a busy first week as students and parents get acclimated to new grade levels and new schools. Open Houses are an additional way our district helps in this first week orientation. This week’s episode features a visit to a few of our elementary school open houses. Click HERE for this episode.
First Week Recap
It was an eventful first day for Strongsville City Schools. A renovated Strongsville High School, a new Strongsville Middle School, and our five elementary schools welcomed back students. From the Class of 2029 (current Kindergarten class) to this year's graduating class, and all classes in between, we wish our students a year of learning, growth, and special memories!
DISTRICT FORMS GO PAPERLESS
You may have noticed that your students backpack has been a little lighter this week. Instead of the traditional paperwork that normally goes home with students at this time of year, parents will now be asked to fill out emergency medical and other back-to-school forms on-line through InfoSnap registration. This registration is accessed through your PowerSchool Parent Portal (PASS) accounts. Forms are now available on the system. Should you have any questions about your PASS account, please contact your child’s school secretary.
MUSTANG SPOTLIGHT - SHS TEACHER JESSICA FRENCHIK
Ms. Jessica Frenchik is a Strongsville High School graduate (Class of 2000) and is now in her 10th year as a teacher at SHS. Ms. Frenchik teaches Marketing Education. As part of her curriculum, she also oversees the school's DECA program, an association of marketing students which prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in the fields of marketing, finance, and hospitality. This past year, Strongsville's DECA program qualified 12 students for the International Competition in Nashville, TN - the most representation from SHS in school history! We are proud of Ms. Frenchik and the impact she is making on our students at Strongsville High School!
