WILDCAT WELLNESS
Introducing Wildcat Wellness, Novi Meadows' newest club. In Wildcat Wellness we will discover ways to build our mind, body and character. We will incorporate gentle stretches, healthy smoothies and mindful moments of reflection. We will practice healthy habits to develop a stronger mind and body. We will meet every Tuesday (5th graders) and Thursday (6th graders) in Ms. Jenkins' room 607 from 2:30-3:15 p.m. after Spring Break. Wear loose clothes, socks and bring a yoga mat if you have one. I hope to see you there!
RAMADAN
Ramadan starts soon for our Muslim friends at Novi Meadows. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. It is a month of fasting, prayer, giving, and self-evaluation observed by Muslims. Muslims don’t eat or drink anything during the hours of daylight during Ramadan. This is called fasting.
Ramadan begins the evening of March 10th this year, so some students may be fasting during school hours. If your child observes fasting during Ramadan and would prefer not to be in the cafeteria during lunch, please reach out to your child’s counselor and we can meet with them to discuss an alternative space.

STEMi
The STEMi is coming back to Novi Meadows! The STEMi is an opportunity for all of our 5th graders to have some hands-on experience with autonomous vehicles, collaborative robots, extended reality, and smart manufacturing. Each 5th grade class will visit the STEMi for a forty-five minute session during the week of April 1st through 5th. This initiative is to help cultivate the discussions around career readiness and awareness in our school district.
PARENT BLOCKSI ACCOUNTS

EARLY RELEASE POLICY
We understand that sometimes you may need to pick up your student before the end of the day.
We ask that you call us once you arrive and are parked out front where we can see your car. There is no need to call prior to your arrival.
· For 5th Grade, call: 248-449-1250

Once you call us, we will then locate your student and have them come out to meet you. You do not need to come inside the building.
Please allow for extra time, as It may take a considerable amount of time for your student to gather their belongings and come to the main office because of where they are located in the complex.
Your student will be asked to identify your car before they come out.
Students being picked up at the end of the day must be picked up before 2:00 PM, because the office is extremely busy during this time.
Parents arriving after 2:00 PM will need to wait in the parent pick up line for their student.
PLEASE CALL THE OFFICE WHEN YOUR STUDENT IS ABSENT
For 5th grade: 248-449-1251
For 6th grade: 248-449-1271
