Future School Closure Guidelines
Good evening EPASD Families,
You received a Blackboard email earlier today concerning the use of Flexible Instructional Day (FID) Guidelines. These guidelines will be in place going forward for any future school closures.
In the event that we have a future school closure due to weather or any other emergency situation, all EPASD students and staff will have a virtual day of learning in the FID format. This will eliminate the need for future make-up days.
Below is a summary of the FID Guidelines:
- Teachers will share online remote learning activities for students to engage in and complete.
- K-12 Remote learning activities will be posted by 9:00AM.
- On the make-up day(s) or future school closures neither students nor teachers will report to school buildings. Everyone works remotely from home.
- Students have 3 days to complete all online remote learning activities.
- Livestreaming will NOT occur on FID make-up dates or future school closures.
For full details, please see you Blackboard email. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child’s principal.

Upcoming Event Fliers
Free/Reduced Meals
COVID-19 relief packages recently passed by the United States Congress contain numerous benefits for families financially impacted by the pandemic. Some of these benefits are available to students who are eligible for free or reduced-priced school meals.
If you believe your school-aged child(ren) may qualify for free or reduced-price meals this school year and have not yet submitted the application for free or reduced-price meals to the school, we encourage you to apply by MARCH 12, 2021. Applications can be completed through our website : EPASD.org, click on Parents & Guardians, then Free & Reduced Meals.
The application then will be used to determine which benefits your child(ren) and/or household may be eligible to receive. Please be aware that applying for free or reduced price meals will not impact meals that your child(ren) currently receives through the school.
Please contact aumholtz@epasd.org, if you have additional questions about free and reduced meals.
