Macbeth Act 5 Scene 1
I'm comparing Roman Polanski (1971) and Rupert Goold (2010)
The Play vs. The Films
Polanski's and Goold's versions were from what was studied, the closest to the plays writing. Polanski's version was more accurate because its scenery remained medieval unlike Goold's version, which was more in the present rather than the past. Polanski's version was the best out of the ones that were studied because of how it was played out and the way the characters were portrayed in the film.
Roman Polanski's version
The witches in the movie were more disfigured unlike in the play where it said that they looked like men.
Rupert Goold's version
The witches were strange nurses instead of strange sisters and had more appearances in the film then in the book.
The Significants
The witches were portrayed differently in many of the Macbeth movies but from the ones that were studied, the closest movie witches would be Polanski's version of them.
