Juniors: SAT Scores are available to view on your CollegeBoard.org account. Please read more...
You may be happy with your SAT score, or you may be sad. Either way, you are going to be okay. More and more colleges are rewarding hard work and effort during your high school years over “one score” on “one test”.
That being said, if you want to retake SAT you have to go onto your CollegeBoard.org account and register for a Saturday National SAT administration. There is a fee to retake the test (free and reduced lunch students can email their counselor for a fee waiver). There is an additional fee for retaking the “optional” Essay. Most colleges do not require the essay (check the college’s application info to be certain).
One thing is certain: if you retake without additional practice, your score won’t change. The best way to improve your score is to practice (a lot) on KhanAcademy.org.
Remember, working hard in your high school classes is the most important thing for college preparation.

Did you fall behind this school year? Catch up in CVS Summer School 2021
Summer School will be held remotely this year with proctored in-person final exams.
Students will register through the Community Education link below.
Students may register for up to two 0.5 credit courses. Final exams will be taken in-person between August 9-12 at a district location T.B.D. Students who finish a course early may make arrangements with their mentor teacher to take their final exam early if time permits.
NOTE: Students will be working independently, with the support of a certified teacher. Students must provide their own computer and internet access. Classes begin on Monday, July 12 and close on Thursday, August 12. Late registrations and drop requests close on Wednesday, July 14.
Registration and payment for a summer school course does not guarantee a passing grade or credit toward graduation requirements. It is highly recommended that students and parents consult their high school counselor before registering and paying for courses.
Students will earn a letter grade in each course. Students may have an opportunity to earn a letter grade in their course as long as we are able to meet face-to-face to proctor final exams. If the district is required to administer final exams remotely, completed courses will earn either credit or no-credit.

May 7th is the deadline to join the Chippewa Valley Virtual Academy (CVVA) for next school year
Parents looking to enroll their child in a high-quality all virtual education option for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year will have to look no further than CVS. The district will offer the Chippewa Valley Virtual Academy (CVVA) for students and families wanting to learn at home. Unlike other virtual options, the CVVA offers our top-ranked curriculum taught by our own highly qualified and caring CVS teachers.
For the 2021-2022 school year, we will offer in-person learning as well as the CVVA for all students K-12 grade. Chippewa Valley students will be automatically scheduled for traditional in-person learning. All students, regardless of their current learning model, must register for CVVA if they are seeking remote learning for the upcoming school year.
Families are asked to review the district website for detailed information regarding the CVVA. It is important that those interested make a commitment as soon as the registration window opens in Parent Portal. Applicants will be placed in the academy based on space and order of enrollment.
For the CVVA, elementary and middle school schedules will reflect a traditional schedule. At the high school level, courses offered will be based on the requests of those enrolling, and if we have enough requests to offer the course. This is the same process we use to schedule our in-person high school courses. Advanced course selections at the secondary level will depend on the number of CVVA student requests we receive. While some hands-on Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes or upper level CTE will not be offered, most will be part of our course offerings, but will only run if we have enough requests to offer the class.
After Spring Break, an enrollment form will be available on the CVVA website for you to complete if you are interested in the CVVA. To prepare for this process, it is required that you have an active Parent Portal account. If you do not have an active account, please use the attached directions to set up your account so you are prepared to enroll for the CVVA once the announcement to register is made.
We ask that parents carefully consider the CVVA as it is a year-long commitment. Students in the CVVA will begin virtual classes in September of 2021 and conclude in June of 2022.
For more information regarding the CVVA, visit our webpage.
If you need directions to create a Parent Portal account, go to the Parent Portal webpage.
The enrollment deadline for the CVVA will be May 7, 2021.
Thank you.
