Watch DOG Program
I would like to take a moment to recognize the fathers and father figures that have participated in our Watch DOG program, here at Johnson. We implemented this program last year in order to increase a male presence at Johnson. Research shows that a strong male presence in elementary schools reduces bullying and prevents violence in schools. After the recent tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, we are even more grateful to these men who are helping to keep our sweet school SAFE and SOUND! It takes a village to raise a child, and these men are a part of the Johnson Village.
Thank you, Watch DOGS for all you do…..both at home, and here at Johnson! You are the VERY BEST!!! Your kids and grandkids love you!!!

Digital Footprint
One of the things that students learn in library is how to be a good digital citizen. This is so important now that we are 1:1 with iPads. Below are some tips from Common Sense Media about how parents can help manage their child’s digital footprint.
