Ramadan Mubarak!
Ramadan began on March 10 and ends on April 9. Ramadan is the ninth month on the Islamic calendar, which marks important holidays and events for Muslims. It marks a period of fasting and prayer. During Ramadan people fast or refrain from eating and drinking, during daylight and come together as a family to partake of nightly feasts. Ramadan is also a time to focus on their beliefs and perform generous acts. Many raise money and donate supplies to help others in need. As they fast, Muslims are reminded about those in the world who don’t have enough to eat.
After the last day of Ramadan, Muslims celebrate its end with Eid al-Fitr which translated means, “festival of breaking the fast". Eid al-Fitr lasts for three days and begins with communities gathering at daybreak at their mosque. During the three day festivities, Muslims gather to pray, eat, give each other gifts, and visit graves of their loved ones.
Principal's Communication presented at PTA Meeting last night about air quality
Dear Parent/Guardian,
I hope this email finds you well.
I wanted to provide you with an update as I understand there have been discussions within our community regarding air quality in our classrooms. Over the last several months there has been air quality testing conducted on our campus. Our school has taken proactive measures to ensure the safety and well-being of all our students and staff.
Multiple tests have been conducted in the building that was previously flooded last year. While all tests have indicated safe air quality, recent testing carried out by Servpro has highlighted areas of concern, which are currently being addressed over this weekend to guarantee a safe learning environment for everyone.
In addition, an environmental management firm, Encorp, performed air quality testing in various buildings around the campus, which showed good air quality. All of our classrooms are equipped with MERV 15 air filters that are changed twice a year, including over winter break, to maintain clean air quality.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support as we prioritize the health and safety of our school community.

Opera Comes To Lin Howe
Opera Comes To Lin Howe
By Maria Montes (3rd grade)
Today (March 13th) we watched an assembly of an opera singer named Suzanna Guzman who taught us what it's like to be an opera singer. In the start of the assembly she told us that opera singing is not just high pitched singing, that it is telling a story with your voice. There was a maestro that played elegant songs for Suzanna Guzman to sing to. Suzanna pulled people up to the stage to hold pictures so we would know what story she was singing about. For example some of the pictures were of her loving springtime and her name being Lucia but they call her Mimi. She even got us all involved and let us sing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” with her. My favorite part was listening to her sing in different languages. It was a very great assembly that I loved to be a part of. Thank you Lin Howe.
