State Wrestling
Mark your calendars: State wrestling takes place tomorrow, Wednesday, February 21 and Thursday, February 22 at Mizzou Arena. We will follow the same plan we have successfully followed the last two years
We have 8 wrestlers who qualified for state! There are three boys and five girls who will be wrestling Wednesday and Thursday, and we wish them the very best! Our state qualifiers are:
GIRLS
Nova Porter
Callie Bergthold
Zafaran Satterfield
Josey Uhrig
Addy Pasley
BOYS:
Blaine Bergthold
Kaid Shaw
Grant Leininger
All of our qualifying wrestlers will be competing in the state wrestling tournament this week. If you plan to go support our wrestlers at Mizzou Arena, please make sure you do the following:
- Students will need to have their parents call in to notify us that they have parent permission to attend the tournament. Once this is done, the absence is counted as a field trip.
- Students drive themselves to Mizzou Arena. If students rode with another student, we need to hear that information from both the parents of the driver and the parents of the passenger(s).
- A list of all names called out for the tournament will be sent to Coach Tracy who will be at the tournament.
- Students have to check in with Coach Tracy at a designated section of the arena and must sit in that section. Trent will cross-reference those who check in with him against the list of students who should be in attendance.
- If a parent calls in for a student and that student does not check in with Coach Tracy, the absence is changed to a verified absence. If a parent does not call in for a student, and that student shows up at Mizzou Arena, the absence is counted as an unverified one.
- On Wednesday students will be able to leave school at the end of 5th hour for the tournament. On Thursday, students will be able to leave after 1st hour to attend the tournament.
