A Message from Mrs. Swieckowski
Hello to all of our families!
I hope that everyone has had a productive school week! We continue to be incredibly proud of our student and parent leaders who are accessing and engaging in Extended Learning. We know that this is not the way any of us imagined the end of the year looking-but nothing will stop us from ensuring that our students continue to receive engaging lessons and learning opportunities. I want to personally thank all of our parents for their continued patience, support and willingness to learn alongside your children. Your support makes all the difference in your child's education. #WestyStrong
With Love,
Mrs. Swieckowski

Building Updates: Empower
During Extended Learning our students are accessing their assignments on Empower. Empower is a platform that is used by teachers for grading and planning. Students locate their assignments and have the ability to submit work on this platform. Teachers, students and parents also have the ability to message one another through the Empower site. As a parent you can also have access to all of your child's Empower profiles. It really is a "one stop shop" for everything related to your child's learning and education. Below you will find a few helpful resources for accessing and navigating through Empower.
Leadership Corner: What does Putting First Things First Mean?
Whether learning is happening in a school building or online, it is important that your child learns the importance of prioritizing their day and their responsibilities. Children thrive when they have structure and a clear understanding of what is expected of them. I challenge you to think about tasks that you do for your children throughout the day. I bet there many of these tasks that your children could be accomplishing on their own after some modeling from you and practice on their own. These tasks will help your children build confidence in themselves and their abilities to contribute to the family. Not to mention it will take a few things off of your plate of responsibilities. :-)
