STUDENT OF THE WEEK - Devonta Owens
Devonta is nominated for student of the week by Crystal.
Devonta has made a positive, impactful change in working toward understanding himself and improving his progress in school. He is helpful toward others and introspective about what it means to be in charge of his education. He takes re-direction (although he doesn't seem to need it often!), and he even advocates for himself if he is feeling overwhelmed. I am so proud of him!
ADVISORY
We have only two graduates first quarter - Mario Parra Olivera and Abdullahi Hassan. Both students have made it clear that they do not want a celebration. Therefore we will not have informal graduation for first quarter. Please make sure to congratulate Maria and Abdullahi!
Informal Graduation
We have wonderful staff that volunteer their time to help make this a special time.
Dan Toegel makes sure that our students are recognized for their achievements in:
Superior Attendance
Most Improved
Hardest Worker
Most Cooperative
Best Class Participant
Sarah Karau-Dauk makes sure that SOAR Tickets are recognized and awarded.
This year we are in need of someone to lead, organize and continue this tradition.
If you would like to help and work on a team of dedicated teachers, please let either Scott or myself know. Let's make the second quarter graduates stand out!!
