In celebration of African American History Month Dr. Wright shares her passion for her sorority Delta Sigma Theta and it's cultural significance as being on the front lines of the Women's Suffrage Movement which celebrates the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, guaranteeing and protecting women's constitutional right to vote.

2020 Census
The 2020 Census will determine how over $700 billion in federal government resources will be distributed each year into the next decade to states and localities.
The 2020 Census count will impact the federal funds Creighton School District receives each year for critical programs and services, including:
- Special Education
- Parent Liaisons
- Reading Interventionists
- Instructional Coaches
- Summer School
- Professional Learning
Census data determines where schools, roads, hospitals, child care centers, senior centers and other services should be built. Programs that rely on data and allocations derived from the census also include Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Section 8, Medicare Part B and State Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
Census data is used for appointment of Congressional seats and redistricting at all levels of the government. The Census is indispensable for monitoring discrimination and the enforcement of a broad range of civil rights laws.
Census Day is April 1, 2020. It is crucial that every person is counted to ensure our community continues to be successful.
