Ben was a printer in his early years and moved to studying science. He was a respected politician. He went on to be an avid inventor and invented things like bifocals, the lightning rod, and the Franklin stove. He also contributed to the founding of the United States of America.

Poor Richards Almanac
The Poor Richards Almanac was a published document that offered a seasonal weather forecast, practical households hints, puzzles and other amusements. Benjamin Franklin published these almanacs from 1732 to 1758 and the almanac was named after Richard Saunders. The Almanac also contained calender's, weather, poems, and sayings. It also contains mathematical equations for the more educated clientele.The almanac sold over 10,000 copies a year for the whole time of its availability.
Inventions
Ben Franklin invented many things over the course of his life but one of his most important invention were the bifocals which were invented in the mid 1780's. This allowed a lot of people with bad sight seek treatment and improve it. Bifocals were glasses with an upper and lower lens that had far and close range features. He also invented the Franklin stove that was made of cast iron made for heating rooms in the cold winters. Lastly Benjamin invented the lightning rod which was used to conduct an electric current in an event of a lightning strike. It is mounted on the top of a structure like a building or even a tree. This protected a lot of buildings during storms to prevent fires.

Benjamin Franklin was a delegate for the US during the Constitutional Convention. He was one of 26 delegates out of 55 total that never attended college in the convention. Franklin being 81 years old at the time of the convention was a very helpful father figure during the debates and got this done to ensure the promising future and the American way. Ben Franklin eventually made his way on to the hundred dollar bill. Ben once said "A penny saved is a penny earned", he was a very responsible person and there is no surprise that his head wound up on the hundred dollar bill.
