PRE-K-4B News!
Juan Diego Academy September 6, 2016
Dear Parents,
Good Morning! My name is Sonia Ceballos. I am honored to be your child’s teacher in PreK 4B. Today we begin our new school year with much joy and enthusiasm. I will work in all areas of development with the students both in large group and individually. This will take place using different activities from our curriculum as well as extracurricular activities.
When working with the goals and objectives according to the common core standards, I plan to meet the needs of each individual student. You can expect excellent learning opportunities for your children, with a high level of professionalism and lots of love.
This week we will be working on our theme, “Back to School!" Our class will explore our school facility, get to know the names of our new friends and talk about our daily routine. Also, I will discuss the rules and expectations of our PreK family. We will also talk about our summer vacations and I will give each child an opportunity to share in their first language about this topic.
I want to thank all the parents that attended our “Meet and Greet” on Friday! Thank you for bringing in the school supplies and hopefully most of your questions were answered. It was good to see so many of you at our Saturday BBQ and to feel the community coming together for a great school year.
I would like to remind you that dismissal today, Tuesday, September 6, 2016, will be at 11:45 a.m. with no extended care. Breakfast is served at school on half-days but not lunch. You may send your child a snack if you prefer rather than have them eat the school breakfast.
Every day arrival times will be between 7:45 and 8:00 a.m. If you arrive even a few minutes late, your child will be marked tardy; so you will need to go to the office to sign your child in as being present. In the afternoon, regular dismissal time every day will start at 2:45-3:05 p.m. If you come after 3:05, your child will have to sign-into extended care until you arrive and there will be a charge. We ask for your help and understanding when it comes to being on time for your child.
Have a beautiful day!
Cordially yours,
Sra. Sonia Ceballos
