Concussion
Concussion is a injury to the head that can cause dizziness, disorientated, confusion, and sleepiness. Concussions are serious injuries to the head. If an athlete has an concussion they should not play or participate in any sport; if they do and get a second concussion the results could be tragic
Soccer
In soccer heading the ball can lead to server concussions. They are ruling out headers in the younger ages due to permanent head injuries that lead to CTE.
Football
In football concussion are the most common. Officials are cutting down on hits to the head. Head to head contact is illegal and so is touching the helmet of the player.
Boxing
Boxing is dangerous to the head because that is where the guy is trying to hit you. The other guy in the ring is trying to knock you out. Boxers have many head injuries and some lead to CTE.
CTE
Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy is a progressive degenerative disease of the brain found in athletes with a history of repetitive brain trauma, including symptomatic concussions as well as asymptomatic consecutive hits to the head.
