A message from the principal
Greetings Wilson Families,
We are already to the month of March and coming up to the end of trimester 2 and spring break. The week of March 4-8 we will have a Spirit Week (look below) to celebrate the end of the trimester. There is no school on Tuesday, March 5. We will be celebrating the end of trimester 2 on Friday, March 8. Classrooms will have their own celebration of learning and hard work. We will also have Science Heroes coming into the school to do an assembly with our students. Mrs. Magaard, our assistant principal, and I will be bringing treats into each classroom to celebrate everyone's hard work this trimester! March 8th will be a great day of celebrations!
Just a reminder that there is no school for students from March 11 - 18. We will see all students back on Tuesday, March 19. I hope everyone enjoys their spring break, whether it is staying at home and hopefully enjoying this nicer weather, or traveling somewhere.
Sincerely,
Chris Forrest
February 'I Love to Read' update from Mrs. Voss
A big “Thank you” to everyone who brought in donations to support Angel of Hope Animal Rescue. We were surprised to see a cash donation from the author Peggy Rathmann! Thank you Mrs. Rathmann for your donation and sharing your award winning book with us!
We had mystery readers from the community join us during the month of February. Each class had a surprise visit.
Captain Tom Schneider read “Officer Buckle and Gloria” to the third graders at Wilson.
Thank you for your time, mystery readers!

STUDENT MORNING DROP OFF REMINDERS
We are working hard to keep our morning drop off line moving quickly and safely for all families and students. If you drop your student off in the morning, please review the reminders below:
- Do not park in the drop off line, this line is for drop and go only.
All adults must remain in the car during drop off. If you would like a longer goodbye with your child, please feel free to park in the lot or at Sunny Acres and walk them over to the door.
Make sure that your child exits your car on the side closest to the building/sidewalk.
At 9:10, students who eat breakfast are allowed into the cafeteria to eat. Other students will wait for the 9:20 bell behind their grade level cone.
Follow directions of staff directing traffic for everyone's safety.
Calling all girls - Grades 3-5!
Girls on the Run registration is now open! No previous running experience required and generous financial aid is available. Registration is open at www.gotrmn.org now! Our practices will be each Monday & Wednesday 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. from April 11 - June 2, culminating with a celebratory Girls on the Run 5K the weekend of June 1-2. Space is limited so register early! Monthly character focus
March is Cooperation month
Each month, with the help of our school social worker Amalia Page, our students will learn about and practice a monthly character trait. Ask your student throughout the month what they have been doing at Wilson to practice and demonstrate this month's focus.
March is Cooperation month at Wilson! Attached is this month's kick off video.
