Faculty Meeting - PBIS Chapter 7 - "Focusing on Solutions"
The above is the first paragraph from Chapter 7. As you read the entire chapter, it offers so many great strategies for helping students solve problems. It's a great read with some really fantastic ideas to get your students thinking about solutions.

To Do's and Calendar Updates
- Month of February: K-4 ROCK Student Training - please schedule to have this complete. Farah will be collecting the documentation.
- February Progress Reports available in HAC. Be sure to have grades finalized by Monday afternoon.
- Week of February 8th: Progress Monitoring
- Week of February 8th: Due to the faculty meeting agenda set for PBIS, please complete the Math CFA Analysis with your teams on your own. Click here to access the protocol. There will also be time to work in the afternoon of the 15th with your teams. Feel free to use that time, if you can't find the time together this week.
- Feb. 9th and 10th: SIT Meetings
- Feb. 11th: Instructional Rounds on Campus - Teachers from TMI will be on campus and in classrooms to help us collect data on higher level questioning and student discourse.
- February 12th: Valentine Parties
- February 15th: Students will be off and we will have Professional Development for teachers. The morning will be TELPAS training and calibration for teachers with ESL certification and have ELL identified students in their classrooms. The other half of teachers will work with analyzing data from Instructional Rounds and work on pre-planning and creating higher level questions for the upcoming curriculum.

- Running Records 3rd and 4th: Feb. 1st - Feb. 29th
Please update each students blue literacy folder with their Running Record information and turn in a master copy to Farah. Farah will help with the documentation sheets.

Professional Development and Learning - Faculty Meetings, PLC's, and Kelly Leach Visits
- February 9th: Faculty Meeting 3:30 (Agenda: Teacher of the Year Election and PBIS book study) No PLC during the day.
- February 11th: K-4 teams meet with Kelly Leach and Farah in the conference room during co-curr to analyze the writing benchmark being given the week of Feb. 25th. Be sure to have all your students writing graded with your rubric by then. Also, bring the students' grammar work.
- February 15th: Campus PD day
- February 16th: PLC meeting - Internal Instructional Rounds during PLC time - all teachers will be in classrooms gathering data on higher-level questioning and student discourse.
- February 18th: K-4 Training with Kelly Leach on Writing Instructional Strategies.
- February 23rd: Faculty Meeting 3:30
Think Through Math
Think Through Math combines live teacher support, unique student motivation, and engaging adaptive instruction in a web-based learning system that is proven to help students learn—and love—math!
The state has agreed to fund TTM.
Math teachers of grades 3-8 and Algebra 1 teachers now have access to TTM. Student accounts have been created and technology is creating a tile on KCloud for both teachers and students. 3rd, 5th, 6th and 8th grade math teachers have been or will be trained during Data Talks. Teachers can also attend training at The Education Center in The Lone Star Room from 4:30-6:00 on March 2nd.
