1. Types of energy in a rollercoaster- Potential energy; top of the track, Kinetic energy;
going down the track.

At the top of the hill, the cars possess a large quantity of potential energy. The car's large quantity of potential energy is due to the fact that they are elevated to a large height above the ground. As the cars descend the first drop they lose much of this potential energy in accord with their loss of height. The cars then gain kinetic energy. The coaster speeds up as it loses height. Thus, their original potential energy (due to their large height) is transformed into kinetic energy (revealed by their high speeds).
As the ride continues, the coaster continues to lose and gain height. Each gain in height corresponds to the loss of speed as kinetic energy (due to speed) is transformed into potential energy (due to height). Each loss in height corresponds to a gain of speed as potential energy (due to height) is transformed into kinetic energy (due to speed).

4. Wooden Coasters are usually made with wood and a variety of metals that hold the wooden planks together. Wooden coasters gives a wilder ride as some say, while steel coasters are a much less rougher ride, which some say are less enjoyable. The wooden track provides a swaying which adds a shock whom to the people who are riding it. Steel coasters are known for their fast loops and vertical drops.
5. Roller coasters provide harnesses and straps that prevent one from falling out of the coaster. The seats are locked in as far as you put you body back in the seat. There are people that come to each seat in each row and push your chair in to make sure it is tied in tight.
