Hello, Sabercats and Families!
Testing week is upon us! I know this time can feel stressful and overwhelming; remember that this test does not and cannot measure all the most important things about you. Before you are a score on this exam, you are members of your families, friends, athletes, artists, dreamers, and good, principled people. I couldn't be more proud of you if I tried.
I also know that it's important to many of you that you do your best on an exam that can open doors. To that end, heed this advice:
- Prioritize your sleep.
- Eat a good, healthy breakfast before the test.
- When you're feeling anxious, focus on your breath -- count in for four, hold for four, out for four, hold for four.
- When in doubt, trust your gut. You're smart, capable, and have been well prepared by incredible teachers. You've got this.
What Students Should Bring:
1. A writing utensil
2. A calculator that isn't their phone
3. A water bottle
4. Their best effort!
What Students Should NOT Bring:
1. Cell phones
2. Headphones or earbuds
3. Digital watches (even those that don't make noise)
4. Student-owned devices of any kind
And also remember that Monday next week is perfectly normal; and the rest of the week is definitely not. You can view the bell schedule below!
- SAT School Day for JUNIORS- Tuesday, April 16th at 7:40am
CMAS Science for JUNIORS- Wednesday, April 17th at 7:40am
- PSAT 10 for SOPHOMORES- Wednesday, April 17th at 7:40am
- PSAT 9 for FRESHMEN- Thursday, April 18th at 7:40am
Finally, All students who do not intend to take ANY of the assigned grade-level assessments above must be excused by a parent or guardian. Please use THIS FORM to indicate your student's excusal as soon as possible.
Have a safe and happy weekend. And, as always, thanks for sharing your kids with us; it is our honor to serve them.

AP Exam Volunteer Opportunity
Spring 2024 Advanced Placement (AP) Exams- Volunteer Help Needed!
Attention CV Parents and Adult Guardians! We are in search of many adult volunteers to proctor Advanced Placement exams in mid-May 2024. Volunteer proctors will allow our teachers and special service providers to stay in classrooms helping students learn rather than proctoring half-day exams.
Commitment: One 90-minute training in mid-April 2024 and one four-hour morning or afternoon session May 6-10 or 13-17, 2023. All training will be provided. You are welcome to proctor more than one exam if you are available and willing.
Please fill out the AP Proctor Interest form below if you are able to help out the CV community!
