A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL...
STAAR Testing:
April 30th - Math (Grades 6-8)
May 1st - Algebra (Grade 8 Alg. students only)
Parents,
STAAR testing is this Tuesday for ALL students (Math). Testing on Wednesday is only for Algebra students.
Testing will begin at 8:30am and will finish by 12:00pm
If your child has any medical appointments on these days, we ask that you please try to reschedule and work around the dates/times.
The campus will be closed to all visitors on these days. We will be using all staff for testing. Please help us work around these times/dates as we go forward.
Thank you!
Attendance:
Parents, as we finish off this nine weeks, please make every effort to have your child at school and on time each day. Especially for 8th grade students taking high school credit courses. If your child falls below the 90% threshold for attendance, they are REQUIRED to make up hours to receive credit for their high school courses or they will need to retake the class in high school. Please work with us in making sure your child is at school each day.
*NEW* STAFF Shout Outs:
Parents- if your child has a teacher, coach, or staff member who has made a positive impact on them this year that you would like to recognize, please drop a 'shout out' in the link below. We would love to recognize them for their hard work!

FINAL EXAMS (REQUIRED for ALL STUDENTS): May 20-23
Final Exams are required for all students. Please make plans for your child to attend each day. If your child does not complete a Final Exam Test or Project, their exam grade will be a zero.
May 23rd is an Early Release Day for students: 12:35pm.
Thank you parents for your help/support with this!

Free and Reduced Lunch Applications
Please complete the application online or on paper as soon as possible.
Lunch Deliveries
- Please reserve food deliveries for emergencies and communicate with your child to pick it up at the designated are in the front office.
- Delivery services such as Doordash are not permitted and will not be accepted.
- BMSS Staff are not responsible for ensuring students come to pick up lunches dropped off during the school day. We understand emergencies happen and will try our best to accommodate these circumstances.
Transportation - Bus Riders
Which bus does my child ride? LINK
*New this year - There will no longer be "ride alongs" this year. Meaning, your child will not be able to ride on a different bus home with a friend. Due to space on the bus and student safety, your child will only be able to ride their bus to/from school. Thank you for your patience as we adjust this new year.
2023-24 Boerne ISD A/B Calendar
For those families that are new to BISD or middle school, I would recommend printing the Boerne ISD A/B calendar and posting it on your refrigerator or somewhere accessible for you and your child.
There will be times after holidays, long weekends, etc. it is just nice to have handy!
