A Message from the Principal
Dear Holy Family Catholic School Community,
The season of Lent begins in just a few days, a time when we are called to take the time to return to God with all our hearts through praying, fasting and giving. Today at Monday Morning Prayer I asked the students to prayerfully consider loving their classmates (neighbors) as their selves by giving up, or fasting from, any grudges that they might be holding in their hearts. Lent is a perfect time to restore our relationship with God and neighbor.
Congratulations to our second grade students who will be making their First Reconciliation this evening, our prayers are with you!
Many of you requested more clubs and after school activities for our students in the survey I sent out in the fall. Our teachers have talked with the students and came up with a list of clubs that some students may be interested in. Please take this survey with your child/ren and submit it by March 16th. Your response will help HFCS determine which clubs we may be able to offer next year. Here is the link to the survey: https://forms.gle/7kmjivyPmfWxiBZb7
Last Wednesday HFCS hosted its first Lunch and Learn for prospective school families. We had four families, with children ages two months to 7 years old, join us for lunch. Eighth graders Annie Fatima and Tyler Phillips presented their heartfelt essays on their HFCS experiences, and parents Jack Price, Angie Uptmore, and Sophie Kriss spoke to the group about what makes this school so special. My thanks go to all of you, including Lisa Griffith, for making this a successful event.
Blessings,
Mrs. Ann Walters
Principal
