DMS Weekly Family Update
1-19-2021
Conductor Corner
I wanted to give a few reminders for tomorrow for both in-person and online learners to make the transition easier as we switch gears back to in-person learning for many students and back to a more traditional online experience. If you have any questions, concerns, or needs please contact the DMS office. We are here to help your child and support families during this unpredictable and often difficult time. I am so excited to see students walking the hallways and in classrooms tomorrow. The heart of the school is our students, and they have been missed very much by all the staff. Have a wonderful day, and go Railroaders!

Online Student Reminders
Watch the video posted before you begin your work.
You will need to fill out your mentor teacher's Google attendance form every Wednesday and Thursday and attend the live Google Meet with your mentor on Friday's at 8:00 AM. If you have a new mentor, they will contact you. You should be in or invited to join a Mentor teacher's Google Classroom. In this Google Classroom you will find your attendance forms and the link for your Friday Google Meets.
If your student is having any problems at all or needs help with their work, please contact your child's teachers and/or the school. We want to help and have staff that can meet with your child and help them.
Routine Reminders
1. All students must wear a face mask over their mouth and nose.
2. Social distancing will be required as much as possible.
3. Students will be taught/reminded of school rules and routines on Tuesday.
4. We will have many staff members ready to help students who do not remember their first hour when they arrive at school.
5. Students will be given their schedules and locker combinations by their first hour teachers.
6. As always, very high level of respectful behavior is expected of all students as we navigate this school year. We have the best students at DMS and am so proud of how they have conducted themselves this year.
7. Students should bring their Chromebooks to school each day and should make sure they are fully charged.
