Snowflake 2023 is coming!
Attention 8th-grade parents:
On Friday, December 8, Maple 8th-graders will participate in a day-long, social-emotional learning (SEL) retreat focused on drug and alcohol abuse prevention and healthy lifestyle choices. The day will feature a performance by Imagination Theater, a panel discussion featuring men from the Providence Farm sober living community and a speech by Tony Hoffman, former BMX biking Olympian. The day will be facilitated by Maple teachers as well as Maple alumni in high school.
Eighth-graders will have the option to order special lunch that day; watch your email for more information! If you have any questions, contact Nicky Stannard at nstannard@district30.org or Jamie Holmer at jholmer@district30.org.
Snowflake volunteers and donations needed
The PTO is coordinating a pizza lunch for all participating 8th-graders. Lunch will include a jumbo slice of cheese pizza from Rosati's, bottled water, sides, and dessert. Gluten-free pizza will be available. All food will be nut-free. DEADLINE TO ORDER IS DECEMBER 6.
Hot Lunch from Quest Food Services WILL NOT be served to 8th-grade students on December 8.
We are also looking for donations to help us provide snacks, sides, and water. Please add your donations below. Thank you.
Maple’s musical season is beginning!
This year we will be performing the new musical, The Lightning Thief, TYA. It is a rendition of Rick Riordan's book, Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. Maple students will be among the first to perform this version of the script, making this a truly unique theater experience.
Students can participate in the musical by joining the cast or the crew. To join the cast (actors on stage), students should sign up for auditions which will be held on Monday, November 27 and Wednesday, November 29. All audition resources can be found on our musical website. We have a no-cut program, so all students who audition will be cast. Click here to sign up for an audition slot.
We also offer four crews in our program including creative, running, tech, and video crew. Our crew members work behind the scenes to bring our story to life on stage. To learn more, visit the crew page on our musical website.
Please reach out to Mrs. Holmer with any questions.

Great expectations at Maple
At Maple School, we are committed to providing our students with the skills they need to succeed not only in high school but also beyond. Developing strong executive functioning skills is crucial for their continued success.
We are providing students with helpful "reminders" to assist them in developing habits such as timeliness, preparing for class, being "TRRFCC" students (Trustworthy, Respectful, Responsible, Fair, Citizenship, and Caring), and following school expectations. Here is a copy of the classroom expectations we uphold across grade levels.
While we are striving to reinforce these practices during school hours, we understand that fostering these skills requires collaboration and communication between home and school. Thank you for your ongoing partnership, and we look forward to working together for the benefit of our students.
