Eaglet Gazette
Enfield Head Start, Integrated Pre-K, PK STEAM Academy
December 3, 2021
I cannot thank you enough for your patience as we work to make our parking lots as safe as we can. As a staff, in partnership with the Enfield PD and our Director of Safety and Security, we have noticed a significant improvement in our lots this week! A few more areas to work on and we should be in good shape before we head off for winter break:
- The cones are meant to create a no park or drive zone, please do not drive in between them!
- I acknowledge the inconvenience of parking, unloading multiple kiddos, and walking to the door, but that is how our arrival and dismissal process goes. Cars may not idle in driving lanes.
- If you are picking your child up prior to the end of the school day and no one is in the classroom, proceed to the main entrance, buzz the doorbell, and we will get your child to you ASAP!
A FEW REMINDERS:
- Early Release on Wednesday December 8th
- Enfield Public Schools PJ Day Friday December 10th!!!
As always, donations are optional b/c not everyone can. But any student may wear (school appropriate) PJs to school on Friday, December 10. (Cash donations will also be accepted!)
For those who do wish to donate, we suggest a donation of $1.00 for the privilege of wearing their PJs to school (or work) Friday, December 10.
- FLU SHOTS ARE DUE TO NURSE JEN BY DECEMBER 31st! Because we are not in school due to Winter break, please get your vaccine documentation to NURSE JEN by December 23rd! Your child will NOT be permitted to return on January 3rd if this has not been received, per the Connecticut immunization requirements for PK .

Health and Wellness
- Per the Governor's orders, our PK"ers" are required to mask until further notice
- There are plenty of mask breaks built into the day during outside, meal, and rest times
- Please send an extra mask in the event one gets soiled so we can switch it out
- Frequent handwashing will be in place
- Vigilant cleaning of classroom materials will occur on a consistent basis
- See the daily health attestation below. This is placed at your child's classroom door. Please review this and if your child is exhibiting any symptoms of illness, please do not hesitate to reach out to nurse Jen! jmaier@enfieldschools.org 860-763-8858!
