MASSABESIC HIGH SCHOOL
2023-2024
Week of Monday, March 4 - Friday, MARCH 8, 2024
RSU 57 & Massabesic High School
"Preparing students for success in an ever-changing world."
As we look to the week ahead we are mindful of challenges and impacts that our students, families, and school community are facing. We are prepared to provide school-based support in the form of space and time for students to connect with counseling professionals. The Auditorium will be open throughout the day and will be staffed by our school counselors and clinicians. It is also important that we focus on the things that are familiar and within our control - our routines and structures are very important to maintaining balance and focus. We will do everything we can to maintain this consistency within the daily operations for our students and staff.
Linked to this newsletter is a letter from Friday that includes numerous resources to support your child. Please review the resources to determine what may work best for you and your family. Please reach out to the school directly if you have questions about resources and support and we will do our best to assist you and your family.
Take care,
-Mr. Thurlow

(Previously called Boys State or Girls State) Dirigo State is a co-ed program at which students operate a mock local, county, and state government. Dirigo State has a long history - maybe your parents or grandparents attended the program when it was called Boys State or Girls State! While at Dirigo State, participants will live in the dorms and eat in the cafeteria at Colby College - and it's FREE. If interested, please pick up the Dirigo State Questionnaire and Parental Permission Form in the guidance office. FMI: refer to the email Mr. Rodgers sent to juniors on February 14th or contact Mrs. Curtis in the guidance office (deborahcurtis@rsu57.org).
