Forest Park High School Financial Aid Night
Students and Parents: you are invited to attend our annual Financial Aid Night on January 6, 2016, from 6:00 - 7:15 p.m. in our school's auditorium. We will have a presenter from George Mason University's Financial Aid Office. He will discuss the Financial Aid process and how completing the FAFSA could help with paying for college. Mark your calendars and we look forward to seeing everyone.
A resourceful website to check out is: https://fafsa.ed.gov/
SAT & ACT Information Center
Seniors if you are pursuing to attend a 4-year college or university after high school, it is very important that you take the SAT and/or ACT, since it is one of the many factors considered in college admissions. You could register online for the SAT at: www.collegeboard.org and to register for the ACT, visit: www.actstudent.org
Both tests offer free online test preparation materials. Additional books & resources are also available at our school's Career Center, which is located in the counseling office. If you have any questions or need assistance, stop by and see Ms. Flores, in counseling.
Family Connection & College Visits
Seniors: check out Family Connection for a listing of College Visits that have been scheduled for this Fall semester. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet with a college admission representative and ask questions about the college, application process, housing, scholarships, and more. In order to attend one of these visits, students must register through Family Connection. To access Family Connection, visit the School Counseling website, and click on the link to family connection. Your username is your student number and password is your birthdate - mmddyyyy (for example: 09101999).
Students who are unable to attend a particular visit, please stop by the Career Center or see Ms. Flores, to obtain more information.
