We want to remind everyone that Becky will be out this week. Please do not text her since she will be cruising down in Mexico! Communicate any concerns to the office.
Also, please remember to turn in your March Snack Madness brackets to Michelle by Wednesday. The fun starts on Thursday! Additional information has been emailed to everyone.
Thank you and have a great week!

SEL Week
Our SEL Committee has come up with a fun and simple way to participate in SEL week this year. We are teaching students the SELFIE method, which is a way for students to think about lifestyle changes to improve their social emotional wellness. Each day, you will share with your class what the focus that day is and why it’s important. A bookmark and a poster for each teacher have arrived. You will be able to read straight off the poster to highlight the ideas for the day. We would then like you to have a classroom conversation about how students can apply this important lifestyle component to their lives. It should only take about 5 minutes! Below is a schedule of each day’s theme.
Monday: S- Sleep
Tuesday: E-Exercise
Wednesday: L-Light (sunlight)
Thursday: F-Fun & I-Interaction
Friday: E-Eating Right
Mission Pawssible
March Mission of the Month
This month's mission is based on the book, I Am One, by Peter Reynolds. https://youtu.be/qUNRRWd5p14
Our goal is for students to see how their kind actions can have a ripple effect that spreads around the school. This week, we are asking students and staff to start a kindness ripple by looking at others and smiling at them as we pass each other in the halls.
Starting with week 2, we are asking each class to pick one thing their class can do each week to start a kindness ripple around the school. It will be fun for them to notice if others start to do the same thing. Each week classes can pick something new that they want to do. Ideas include inviting students on the Buddy Bench to play, picking up trash, opening the door for others, giving compliments, saying thank you, and on and on! We are excited to see many kindness ripples make their way around the school this month!
Each teacher will get a copy of the chart below to hang in your class for the month. You can use this chart to keep track of what your class chooses each month.
