We are so excited that each of you have chosen to join the FMMS Band. Please continue reading below so you can be sure you have everything taken care before the end of this current school year. 1. Student attend Instrument Fitting
If your student has not tried the instruments to see which one they should play, please contact your band director as soon as possible. Students must know which instrument they play before the start of next school year.
2. Student received Golden Ticket
Each student that has been placed on an instrument will be given a golden ticket. In this envelope there will also be details on on upcoming Instrument Rental Night and what supplies students will need.
3. Joined Remind 101 Group - @fmbb24
Join our group by texting @fmbb24 to 81010 or click"Join Class" in the Remind 101 App. This is the quickest and easiest way for us to send reminders. You won't want to miss out!
4. Planning to Attend Instrument Rental Night or Plan to Purchase Materials
Instruments and supplies take time to coordinate and ship to FMMS. By attending out rental night, you can order your student's materials and have it all taken care of before the end of the school year! If you have any financial questions, come speak to one of our directors about a plan. We are happy to help!
5. Verified with Director that Band is on my student's schedule
If you have already received your student's schedule and verifies that they are enrolled in a beginner band class, there is nothing else needed! If you'd like to check, please email Mrs. Irby at brooke.irby@risd.org
Instrument Rental Night - Tuesday, April 30th between 4:30-7pm at FMMS
We are hosting an Instrument Rental Night so you can get all instruments and supplies ordered before the end of the school year. They typically take time to come in and get sorted, so we recommend ordering sooner rather than later.
This is also a great time to ask any questions regarding payment or financial concerns. The directors will be there to help. We have a way to assist you, but we must have communication.
Parking will be available in the lot off of Abrams. The entrance facing Abrams will be the door you should enter. We will also have signs posted to help you.
Supply lists were sent with your student's Golden Ticket. They are also posted on our website at fmjhband.weebly.com under "Students"
