Sundancer Times
Sept 28
Hello, Sundancer Families!
We are set to welcome back students for face to face instruction October 19th. We have been working diligently to prepare the school to keep students and faculty healthy. You will continue to have the choice to keep your child home if you wish. The survey can be found at YISD.net/MyChoice . You will need your child/ren's ID number in order to make the choice for each. Please make your selection by Friday, Oct 2.
You may have some questions about the school's plans and protocols before you make a decision. I will be hosting a session Wednesday evening (Parent Information Night) with some information you need to make an informed choice. Please see the links to this session below as well as other informative sessions you can choose from hosted by our amazing leadership team!
Parent Info Night Wednesday, Sept 30 4-6 pm
TIP: If you use your child's device to join the sessions, you can easily join a Meet since your child's credentials are already established. If you are using a private device, you may have to be admitted by the organizer (so you may have to wait a minute or so). Just a heads up.

The flexibility is in place to support the difficulties that we know happen in this platform--and we know network issues occur! However, teachers are detecting patterns and abuse of the flexibility. They are working double time to keep parents in the loop when kids aren't online when they should be. Remember, this is real school with real grades. Please stay on top of your child's progress in the HAC. And don't believe it if your kids tell you math has been cancelled for the year! I promise you, it hasn't!
