WVVA College & Career Prep
Working Towards Your Future
Three Tasks for Successful Career Planning
On the Path Towards Certifications
Students in Ms. Rudd's Personal Finance course are working on a microcredential in Financial Literacy. Students will be studying budgeting, credit/debt, insurance, employment and taxes, banking all leading towards a credential from EverFi. There is no charge to students to earn this credential and it will be an excellent item to include on digital portfolios, college applications, or job applications.
Students will be completing this microcredential after winter break. Please encourage your student to complete these modules!
If your student is not currently taking Personal Finance but completed the course in the fall, contact Ms. Rudd to find out how to earn the credential.
WVVA would like to see 100% of our high school students graduate with this credential!
Job Survey
WVVA will be hosting a "how to" on job search skills workshop this spring and we need your help. We are trying to find out who is working, who is looking, and who is volunteering. Please take a moment to complete this survey so that we can tailor our workshop to your needs.
ASVAB Career Exploration Assessment
WVVA will be offering the ASVAB Career Exploration Assessment for sophomores and juniors this spring. This is an in person assessment! After completing the test, student will have the opportunity to discuss the results and look at career options with a member of the armed services. This is NOT a military entrance test but a career assessment inventory. If you are interested in learning more, email Ms. Stahle at cstahle@westvaacademy.org
April is the Month of the Military Child!
