Dear Parents,
Here's what's happening at school this week.
English
Math
Last week, students learned how to write algebraic expressions. They also identified parts of expressions. Finally, at the end of the week, they evaluated expressions and formulas. They had three homework assignments that are due on Monday. They are page 373(2-14)/page 374(1-6), page 379(2-6)/page 380(1-6), and page 385(2-11)/page 386(1-6). Students also tried a few math problems involving finding the surface area and volume of a rectangular prism.
This week, students will take a mid-chapter quiz on Monday. Afterwards, they will continue working with algebra concepts through the rest of the week. This will include using algebraic expressions, combining like terms, generating equivalent expressions, and identifying equivalent expressions. They are preparing for a chapter test that is scheduled for Tuesday, March 20th.
