The Hungate Echo
Sherburn Hungate Weekly News - Issue 2
A word from Mr Broom
It's fair to say the children have had a super week. Project launches right across school have given them a real buzz for learning and some of the work they have produced is truly outstanding. Check out your child's Class Dojo for more information and photos of their learning.
We've added lots of important dates to the 'dates for your diary' section at the bottom of this newsletter. Please take the time to have a look.
Finally, Mr Peter Ball (one of our governors) visited school this morning to look at the daily mile and visit some maths lessons. He really enjoyed his visit and was very complementary of the children's attitudes towards learning and each other. We finished the morning review the school data picture which is looking very strong.
Have a lovely weekend ahead.

The End of Friends of Hungate... for now!
The Friends of Hungate held their Annual General Meeting on Monday evening with a minimal turn out. With dwindling numbers and only a few members attending, the decision was taken to cease operating.
I would like to thank the team for their incredible hard work and commitment since I joined the school. During the past two years the same individuals have raised 1000s to help support school with clubs, trips, resources and activities to make the children's time in school even better.
The final official Friends of Hungate event will be the Halloween disco on 15th October.
Cycle Event on 27th September - School Closing at 2pm
Please make arrangements to collect your child at the earlier time. We have also arranged for the Low Mill residential trip to return to school for the slightly earlier time of 2.00pm.
Buddies will remain open as normal.
Thank you.
Support for Sherburn High School
Sherburn High School is looking to refurbish and expand current sports facilities on their site for both schools use and the wider community use. We are trying to get as many parents and local residents to complete a survey and we would very much appreciate your time in helping us to understand what the Sports Facilities needs are in school and the local area and your views on the current facilities we provide.
